How to fix a camera that won't power on after an upgrade

Recovery procedure for an IP camera that cannot be turned on after a firmware upgrade.

Recovery steps

  1. Copy the entire decompressed update folder to the root directory of the SD card. Do not rename the folder. Contact customer service to obtain the update folder.
  2. Insert the SD card into the camera, then power on the camera.
  3. Wait about 2 minutes for the camera to rotate and self-check, then press the RESET button to reset the camera and complete the upgrade.

Important notices

  1. Make sure the camera is not powered off during the upgrade.
  2. If the upgrade fails, the camera will restart automatically — there's no need to unplug the power.
  3. If there is an unexpected power failure during the upgrade, contact customer service at [email protected].

If you encounter other problems during the upgrade or the camera cannot be upgraded normally, please contact customer service in time at [email protected].
